The Auxiliary at CHI St. Vincent Morrilton recently presented a $60,000 check to Bubba Arnold, President, CHI St. Vincent Morrilton. The money will be used towards the construction of a new canopy for the front entrance of the hospital to compliment the one at the newly renovated emergency department. Planning for the new canopy is underway. Drawings should be available later this month.
Fundraisers, for the project, held throughout the year included raffles for holiday baskets for Valentine’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day and Christmas. Gift shop sales, two sales of handbags and jewelry, a Thanksgiving Bake Sale and the twice-a-year Beans & Cornbread luncheon contributed to the fund as well.
“The Auxiliary is very committed to CHI St. Vincent Morrilton and continues to invest in the hospital. They made a $60,000 contribution in 2014 to help renovate the emergency department. Their past support has helped us provide high quality care for our patients with new equipment they purchased and by volunteering in many patient care areas. We thank them, community members, Conway County residents and our employees who continue to support our fundraisers and contribute to the hospital,” said Arnold.
“We are so proud of our hospital and want to do all we can to keep it updated and attractive. Upcoming fundraising events are the Valentine Basket raffle drawing February 11 followed by the Jewelry & Handbag Sale on February 23. The Beans & Cornbread Luncheon is March 3. The community is invited to all fundraisers. You’ll be investing in the future of the hospital by participating in any of these events.” said Jo Turner, Auxiliary President.
“We’re not only grateful for the Auxiliary and the community for their contributions, but also because they choose us for their healthcare. We look forward to many years of serving this community,” Arnold said.
