Donate to R.I.C.E. Projects (an activity of Nurses Week)

Each year to celebrate how we continue embracing and extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ in our community, our coworkers collect for various non-profit organizations. This is part of Nurses Week celebration and emphasizes our values of Respect, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence (often abbreviated to RICE). Donation boxes located on nursing units.

Here’s what’s needed:

Little Rock area for Union Rescue Mission (top needs)

  1. Toilet Paper
  2. Paper Towels
  3. Laundry Detergent
  4. Body Soap
  5. Feminine Products
  6. Cleaning Supplies

Little Rock area for St. Francis House (top needs) 

  1. Body Soap
  2. Toothpaste
  3. Towels
  4. Laundry Soap
  5. Razors/Shaving cream
  6. Cups with lids

Hot Springs for Ouachita Children’s Center  (needed items) 

  1. Summer swimming suits (for children ages 7-17)
  2. Lice treatments
  3. Flat irons
  4. Hair brushes/combs (boar bristles and plastic ones too)
  5. African American male and female hair products (hair grease, pomade, pink oil, moisturizer, relaxing kits)
  6. Shampoo and conditioner
  7. Perfume/cologne/body spray (no aerosol cans)
  8. Wave caps/shower caps/head scarves
  9. Cat food for Tiger (OCCs therapy cat)
  10. Male and female under garments (bras, panties, underwear, boxers for teens)

Morrilton for Arkansas Health Department: Children and Family Services (needed items)
