A request was received to transport a patient from room 4121 to Radiology. T.J. Campbell reported to room 4121. He proceeded to check the patient’s armband and found that the patient in room 4121 did not match the name on the request. The room number was incorrect for the patient. The patient requested was actually in 4128.
T.J. had the SafetyFirst expectation to Have a Questioning Attitude. He was able to Stop and Resolve the situation, preventing the wrong patient from being transported to an inappropriate test.
