Nurses Support Community Through RICE Project

RICE2As nurses embracing and extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ in our community, we choose to share our blessings with the communities we serve.

Therefore as part of National Nurses Week May 1-6, CHI St. Vincent nurses will be collecting items as part of the RICE Project. The Infirmary will be supporting Union Rescue Mission. Hot Springs will support Samaritan Men’s Ministries. And Morrilton will support the DHS Center for Children and Family Services.

Union Rescue Mission needs: Toilet paper, paper towels, Kroger gift cards, laundry detergent, trash bags (all sizes 8-55 gallons), body soap, feminine products, diapers and pull-ups, and cleaning supplies.

Samaritan Men’s Ministries needs: Paper towels, tissues, personal grooming products (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, tooth brushes, shaving cream), tea bags, coffee, sugar, lemonade drink mix, snack foods (Little Debbie or cookies), underwear and t-shirts (large, XXL and XXXL), and gift cards to Sam’s Club, Walmart or Cash Savers (to help cover cost of food served daily).

Look for the donation box on your unit. All donation boxes will collected at the Nurses Week lunch celebration on each campus.

On campus chapel services will be held at 10 am. Luncheons will be held from 11 am- 1 pm.
