Congratulations to the Hot Springs Nutritional Services Team Members for being honored as Service Heroes. They continually step up to help coworkers who are in need. Recently a former coworker and 35-year veteran was receiving care in the Hospice unit at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs. The nutritional services department worked to make sure the family was fed and taken care of during their difficult time. Below is a snip from their nomination:
During the time a former coworker was in for a long stay in the hospital, the nutritional services team was always checking in to see if the family needing anything. On the night she was moved to hospice, a few of the the family members went to the cafeteria to get a bite to eat. The coworkers in the cafeteria noticed we were upset and the cafeteria gave them food and also sent additional food to the family during their stay. They also sent food for the visitation after she had passed.
Susan Rima, Volunteer Services coordinator presented the award to the Nutritional Services team for their dedication to serving those in need.
