A message from Chad Aduddell, CEO:  It’s with deep sadness that I have to inform you that Sister Margaret Meisner, SCN, went to be with our Lord on January 10, 2017.

Sister had been ill for quite some time, but she was strong throughout her diagnosis and treatment. It was Sister Margaret’s wish that she remain here with her St. Vincent family through the holidays and she was able to celebrate Christmas with her volunteers and many friends and family.

We are grateful to have spent last Wednesday celebrating her 24 years of service to CHI St. Vincent with a Mass and reception surrounded by friends and coworkers.

We will forever be grateful for her selfless provision to the many patients, families and coworkers she has served throughout her ministry.

We know that Sister Margaret is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom she served faithfully throughout her life. Please pray for all of Sister Margaret’s family and friends who mourn her loss.

We will have a memorial Mass at the Infirmary Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at Noon.

Funeral arrangements are planned in Kentucky.

  • Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30 pm at Nazareth Home and after 4 pm in St. Vincent Church, Nazareth, Kentucky, on Thursday, January 12, 2017.
  • There will be a Prayer Service in St. Vincent Church at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.
  • The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Vincent Church, Nazareth, Kentucky, at 10:30am on Friday, January 13, 2017, followed by burial in Nazareth Cemetery.

Blog post from Jan. 5, 2017: Sister Margaret Meisner was honored for her 24 years of service with a mass and reception held in her honor on January 4. Community leaders, coworkers and friends stopped by to wish her well.

We will forever be grateful for her selfless provision to the many patients, families and coworkers she has served. We are better today because of her service to our ministry.
