Famed baseball player Cal Ripken, Jr. was the event’s featured speaker.

On Saturday, June 18, at the annual All Arkansas Preps award dinner, CEO Chad Aduddell presented the CHI St. Vincent Health Award, which honors a student athlete who has overcome an injury or disease to inspire their team and their community.

“This August marks the beginning of 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. As I look around the room at all of the young athletes and observe the presentations to our state’s top performers in each sport, I am reminded of the Olympic Creed which states that the most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just like in life the most important thing is not the triumph, but the struggle,” Chad noted during his introduction of the recipients.

For 2016, the CHI St. Vincent Health Award was presented to Morgan and Bailey McAlexander, twin sisters who are true champions – both on the field and off the field. These brave young women have changed the lives of people in their community, as they have shared their story of health, resilience and courage. Watch their story here.
